A charity gig featuring nine local bands, was put together after a local musician, Keith Howe returned to performing after a struggle with the cancer.
‘Guitars for Life’ took place on Saturday 2nd May 2010 at the Bridge on Wool pub in Wadebridge.
Reflecting on his illness and his reasons for organising the event Keith said:
“As a testament to the excellence of the treatment I have received, I find myself able to perform music again and I am therefore exceptionally happy to be asked to help arrange a local rock gig with the aim of raising funds for the fantastic staff and all the work they do at Treliske Haematology Clinic via the Cornwall Leukaemia Trust.”
